Sponsorship Categories:

  • – Dependent Children: Under 22, single, financially dependent (exceptions for those over 22 with disabilities).
  • – Spouse/Common-Law Partner: Must meet financial support requirements and confirm no social assistance will be needed.
  • – Parents and Grandparents: Must meet income requirements for multiple family members.
  • – Orphaned Relatives: Siblings, nieces, nephews under 18, both parents deceased.
  • – Other Relatives: “Last remaining relative” exception for those with no other family in Canada or abroad.

Provincial Sponsorship Programs: Available in provinces like Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island.

Application Requirements: Includes medical exam, police certificates, biometrics, proof of financial stability from the sponsor, and additional documents as required.
